If you grew up on head-to-head fighting games, oskiewar is built for you. Two fighters face off in rounds. You read your opponent, guard, and punish. It keeps the parts that make versus games great:
- One on one, in rounds. Every fight is a 1v1 duel; win rounds to win the match.
- Punches, kicks, blocks, grabs and throws, plus jumps and dashes.
- Couch versus. Two players on one keyboard, or a gamepad each.
- Online versus with a link. Every match has a room, and the room is a web address. Send it and your friend joins from their own browser.
And it drops the parts that keep people out: it's free, it loads in a tab, and it works on the laptop you already have.
Duel a friend: 1v1 online or on one keyboard
oskiewar is a 2 player game first. Sit side by side and share a keyboard, plug in two controllers, or open a room and send the link for a 1vs1 duel across the internet. Nobody has to install anything: the friend you send it to signs in with their email and is fighting a minute later.
- Open oskiewar.com, press start and sign in with your email. The address bar now shows your room.
- Copy the room's address and send it to your friend.
- They open it, sign in, and drop into the second corner. Fight.

Is oskiewar free?
Yes. The whole game plays free at oskiewar.com. There is nothing to buy to fight.
Do I need to download anything?
No. oskiewar runs in a web browser. Open oskiewar.com, sign in with your email (it mails you a six-digit code, free), pick a handle, and you are in a fight.
Can I play against a friend online?
Yes. Every match has a room, and the room is a web address. Send it to a friend and they join the fight from their own browser.
Can two people play on one computer?
Yes. Player one uses W A S D, player two uses I J K L, both on the same keyboard. Two connected gamepads also work, one each.
Does it work with a controller?
Yes. Plug in or pair a standard gamepad and press a button on it while the game is open.
Is oskiewar like Street Fighter?
It is a different game in the same tradition: two fighters, rounds, punches, kicks, blocks, grabs and throws, played head to head. It is free, runs in a browser and is not affiliated with Capcom or Street Fighter.
